Hi there, I’m Cathy, thank you so much for stopping by! I was born and raised in the Niagara Region, and now live in the beautiful township of Wainfleet with my family. I’ve been married to my husband Todd for over 25 years, and we have 3 amazing kids (who you’ll see on my social media posts quite a bit – love to photograph them!). I have a lifelong passion for photography, and am thrilled to turn my dream into reality with Minor Details Photography. Did you know I am also a CFO for a company based out of Windsor that produces chemical-free, sustainable cleaning solutions? I know, not what you would expect from a photographer, but I’ve been a Chartered Accountant my whole life, and love that my photography provides a creative outlet to balance my business side!
My other passion is travel! Covid has put a hold on that for a few years, and I can’t wait to get back out and see the world! My husband and I love exploring the different countries of Europe together. Rome, the Amalfi Coast and Ephesus are definitely some of our favourites, we love to explore the history and buildings in these beautiful cities. And the warm weather down south is definitely calling our family, especially during the middle of winter – hopefully we don’t have to wait much longer!
Families fuel my love of photography. I absolutely love to see parents light up when they see their family captured in portraits – not just the posed shots, but those natural photos too where family is just interacting and being together. I also love photographing little ones as they celebrate birthdays, and am just getting into dance photography. My daughter has danced her whole life, and to capture the graceful moves of a dancer creates such a beautiful image and I am really loving this right now!
